Projet - chamber of commerce and Industry France-Western Canada

Land Acknowledgement

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Western Canada acknowledges that our activities take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of diverse Indigenous Peoples across Western Canada.

  • In British Columbia, we honour the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, among many others whose lands support our work.

  • In Alberta, we recognize the territories of Treaties 6, 7, and 8, home to the Blackfoot Confederacy, Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina Peoples.

  • In Saskatchewan, we acknowledge the territories of the Cree, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.

  • In Yukon, we recognize the territories of the 14 self-governing First Nations, including the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

  • In the Northwest Territories, we honour the Dene, Inuvialuit, and Métis Peoples, whose lands and waters continue to sustain communities and economies.

We express our respect and gratitude to the Indigenous Peoples who have stewarded these lands for generations. As an organization committed to fostering cross-cultural and international business relationships, we are also committed to ongoing learning, respectful partnerships, and inclusive economic development.
